WE ARE A COLLECTIVE OF LONDON POTTERS AND DESIGNERS WHO HAVE GATHERED TO CREATE CERAMICS 274 - A PROJECT THAT STARTED AS A POP UP SHOP RUN BY MAKERS FOR THE WINTER SEASON OF 2016 AND IS NOW WORKING TO CREATE A NEW WAY TO CONNECT PEOPLE WITH CERAMICS.

WE ARE CELEBRATING OUR 5TH ANNIVERSARY THIS YEAR!

WE ALL LIVE AND WORK IN LONDON, AND FORMED CERAMICS 274 AFTER MEETING AT SHARED STUDIO SPACES. FROM MODERN TO TRADITIONAL; WHEEL-THROWN AND HAND BUILT PIECES; OUR WORK COVERS A WIDE RANGE OF STYLES.

WE BELIEVE THAT OUR UNIQUE AND CONTRASTING STYLES WILL CREATE A COMPELLING COLLECTION - TIMELESS TABLEWARE PIECES FROM ANDREA ROMAN; PASTEL PORCELAIN VESSELS FROM NATASCHA MADEISKI; THROWN AND ALTERED WORK FROM NED DAVIES; GRACE MCCARTHY'S BRUSH STROKE DECORATED VESSELS - THE SPACE IS A FASCINATING INSIGHT INTO MODERN CERAMIC PRACTICE.

THE LINES BETWEEN FUNCTION AND ART ARE BLURRED IN MUCH OF THE WORK: BEN SUTTON’S ‘COCOON’ VASES; TEXTURED EGG-LIKE FORMS FROM LISA OMMANNEY; ARJAN VAN DAL’S RICHLY HUED DYED PORCELAIN WORK AND THE EXQUISITE COBALT ILLUSTRATIONS ON GIUSEPPE PARINELLO'S PORCELAIN WORK.
